Shipping
General Information
Wine Stop prices do not include shipping, handling, insurance, foreign duties or sales tax (where applicable). Our products are packed in UPS-approved shippers. Street addresses and phone numbers are required for all shipments. In the United States, an adult over the age of 21 must be present to sign for the shipment. We cannot deliver to P.O. Boxes.
We will email you when we’ve received your order. We will update you when we’ve processed your order and again when it ships.
Important: We ship only to California addresses.
Domestic Shipping
Wine Stop ships via Ground service using UPS or FedEx. Estimated delivery time is 3 to 10 business days depending upon the distance from our DTLA store in Los Angeles to the destination.
We offer Next Day and 2-Day options for most shipments (Alaska and Hawaii are 2-Day only). Note that to avoid having wine sit in the carrier’s warehouse over the weekend, we normally don’t ship on Thursday/Friday for 2-Day or Friday for Next Day. If you want your order to go out on those days, please let us know in the Special Instructions box.
Our carriers do not normally deliver on Saturdays. If you need Saturday delivery (for an extra charge), please contact us at info@mywinestop or (888) 946-3329 for further information.
Shipping costs vary widely based on the number of bottles shipped, the distance from our DTLA store in Los Angeles to the destination, and the type of service selected. It is most economical to ship 6 or 12 bottles at a time. Prior to finalizing and submitting your order to us, you can adjust your order to see different shipping costs by varying the quantity of wine in the Shopping Cart or by selecting a different Shipping Method (Ground, 2-Day, Next Day) on the Checkout page.
Weather Hold
Extreme heat and extreme cold will damage wine. Therefore, if the forecast temperatures at the Shipping Address are a concern or if you are shipping a long distance from our DTLA store in Los Angeles, you may wish to select Next Day or 2-Day service when placing your order (please note that these are not guaranteed morning delivery services).
Alternatively, you may select Weather Hold, and we will hold your wine in our temperature-controlled warehouse. Weather Holds are typically released in batches, i.e., in October for Spring/Summer Weather Holds and in April for Fall/Winter Weather Holds. We will notify you by email when we release and ship Weather Holds. We do not monitor the weather on a weekly basis; however, you can request that we release a Weather Hold via email at any time. Our Weather Hold warehouse is strictly for short term storage. Wines will not be stored there beyond the season they arrive without incurring additional storage fees. We will notify you by email when we release and ship Weather Holds. If you select No Weather Hold, you accept the responsibility for any damage to the shipment that may occur.
We may place short delays on orders due to local weather conditions.
