Far Yeast Brewing’s Tokyo line brings together three distinctive beers made for everyday drinking: a clean golden ale, a dry saison, and an aromatic Belgian-style IPA.

Unlike the stronger and more contemplative KAGUA collection, the Tokyo beers are lighter, more direct, and easy to open whenever beer sounds good.

Each has its own personality:

Tokyo Blonde — golden, balanced, and crisp
Tokyo White — fruity, dry, and refreshing
Tokyo IPA — aromatic, citrusy, and pleasantly bitter

Together, they show three different sides of Far Yeast Brewing—and three very different ways to enjoy a well-made beer.

Why We Like Them

The Tokyo line delivers flavor without making beer complicated.

Blonde is smooth and balanced, with fresh hop aroma and a clean, dry finish. White brings the fruity fragrance of a Belgian-style saison with refreshing acidity and almost no heaviness. IPA adds more citrus, bitterness, and aromatic intensity without becoming an oversized or exhausting hop bomb.

These are beers you can drink on their own, but they become even better with food.

TOKYO BLONDE

Golden, Balanced and Refreshing

Tokyo Blonde is a golden ale brewed to highlight the aroma of carefully selected seasonal hops.

It pours a pale golden yellow with a creamy, persistent head. Fresh hop aromas lead, supported by a gentle malt character that gives the beer more depth than its light color might suggest.

The palate is clean and balanced, with malt and hops working together rather than competing for attention. It finishes dry, crisp, and refreshing.

This is the easiest introduction to the Tokyo collection—and a strong choice for anyone who wants more flavor than a basic lager without moving into a heavily bitter IPA.

What It Tastes Like

Fresh hops, light malt, subtle grain, gentle bitterness, and a clean, dry finish.

Food Pairings

Tokyo Blonde works with fried chicken, burgers, pizza, grilled sausages, fish and chips, tacos, sandwiches, tempura, yakitori, and salty snacks.

For Wine Stop’s EATS by Wine Stop pairings, Blonde fits especially well with:

Fried Chicken
Pizza

TOKYO WHITE

Fruity, Dry and Sharply Refreshing

Tokyo White is a saison-style beer with the fruity aroma of Belgian yeast and the fresh lift of hops.

It pours a very pale gold with a slight cloudiness and a rich, long-lasting head. The aroma combines fresh hops with fruity fermentation notes, while the palate is exceptionally dry and clean.

A touch of hop bitterness and a pleasantly tart edge make White especially refreshing. It has character, but very little weight, making it an excellent choice for warm weather, lighter foods, or anyone who prefers beer that finishes crisp rather than sweet.

Despite the name, this is not a conventional Belgian witbier. It is drier, sharper, and closer to a refreshing farmhouse ale.

What It Tastes Like

Fresh hops, citrus, orchard fruit, Belgian yeast, gentle bitterness, and a crisp, lightly tart finish.

Food Pairings

Tokyo White is excellent with sushi, poke, seafood, salads, goat cheese, fried chicken, dumplings, Thai food, grilled vegetables, fresh herbs, and dishes with citrus or spice.

For Wine Stop’s EATS by Wine Stop pairings, White fits especially well with:

TOKYO IPA

Citrusy, Aromatic and Bitter—Without Going Overboard

Tokyo IPA combines American hops with Belgian yeast to create an IPA that is both hop-driven and unusually aromatic.

It pours copper-colored with a creamy head. The aroma brings together hops, malt, citrus, and fruity yeast notes rather than relying on hops alone.

On the palate, citrusy hop flavor and bitterness are balanced by a subtle roasted-malt character. The Belgian yeast adds fragrance and complexity, giving this beer a different personality from a standard American IPA.

It has enough bitterness for an IPA drinker, but enough balance and malt character for someone who does not want every sip to feel like a hop competition.

What It Tastes Like

Citrus peel, aromatic hops, ripe fruit, malt, gentle roast, and a firm but balanced bitter finish.

Food Pairings

Tokyo IPA works especially well with burgers, spicy fried chicken, tacos, curry, Korean BBQ, grilled meats, ramen, pizza, blue cheese, and dishes with smoke, chili, or rich sauces.

For Wine Stop’s EATS by Wine Stop pairings, IPA fits especially well with:

Burgers & Fries
Tacos & Mexican
Dumplings, Noodles & Korean BBQ
BBQ, Steaks & Backyard Grill

Which Tokyo Should You Choose?

Choose Tokyo Blonde when you want something golden, balanced, crisp, and easy to enjoy.

Choose Tokyo White when you want something fruity, very dry, lightly tart, and especially refreshing.

Choose Tokyo IPA when you want more hops, more citrus, more bitterness, and a little more intensity.

Or try all three. The collection moves naturally from Blonde’s easy balance to White’s farmhouse dryness and IPA’s aromatic bitterness.

Serve Them Like This

Serve the Tokyo beers properly chilled, but not frozen cold. A few minutes in the glass will allow their hop, malt, fruit, and yeast aromas to become more expressive.

A tulip glass, wine glass, or standard beer glass works well.

The Wine Stop Take

The Tokyo collection is craft beer without the theater.

These beers are not trying to overwhelm you with extreme bitterness, excessive alcohol, or strange ingredients. Each one has a clear identity and a reason to exist.

Blonde is balanced and dependable. White is dry and wonderfully refreshing. IPA is citrusy, aromatic, and bitter without becoming exhausting.

Three beers made for drinking, eating, and discovering—not merely collecting.
