The Wine Stop Deal Everyone Might Be Talking About
Alvaro was looking for something almost impossible: a top-quality organic red wine in a 1-liter bottle that Wine Stop could proudly put into the hands of its customers at an extraordinary price.
Not a closeout.
Not a mystery wine.
Not “good for the price.”
Good wine. Full stop.
The price is the surprise.
Hecho Mano comes from Utiel-Requena, the historic home of Bobal, blended here with Cabernet Sauvignon for familiarity, structure, and easy appeal.
To make this happen, Alvaro had to commit to a minimum number of bottles. In return Wine Stop received a helping hand — and now that helping hand goes to you.
Big-box price. Wine Stop standards.
Why Try It?
Because sometimes wine does not need to be complicated. Hecho Mano is an easy red to open, pour, and enjoy. It is the kind of bottle that belongs on the table at family gatherings, taco nights, casual dinners, DTLA art-gallery openings, backyard parties, and any occasion where people simply want a red wine that tastes good.
Bobal brings juicy red fruit, freshness, and Spanish personality. Cabernet Sauvignon adds darker fruit, structure, and a familiar red-wine feel. Together, they make a smooth, dry, fruit-driven red that is generous without being heavy.
And because this is a 1-liter bottle, there is more to share.
Why Buy It?
Because a low price does not magically make a bad wine good.
Wine is either enjoyable to drink or it is not. A lower price does not change that. At Wine Stop, we do not buy wines because they are “good at the price.” We buy wines because they are good — and when we can offer one at a price that makes no sense, we get excited.
Hecho Mano is exactly that kind of wine.
A certified organic, certified vegan red from a real wine region, made by a real producer, in a generous 1-liter bottle, selected by Alvaro, and priced to make people look twice.
This is the bottle to keep by the case.
Cellar & Serving / Pairing Notes
Serve at: 55–60°F / 13–16°C
If the room is warm, give the bottle 20 minutes in the fridge before serving.
Food pairings: Tacos, carne asada, carnitas, burgers, pizza, pasta with red sauce, grilled chicken, roasted vegetables, rice and beans, sausages, barbecue, empanadas, and casual party food.
This is also a terrific “open one more bottle” wine — the kind you want around when the table gets louder, the food keeps coming, and nobody wants the evening to end.
The Bottom Line
Alvaro found the impossible: a real, certified organic, certified vegan red in a 1-liter bottle at a price that feels almost unreal.
Not good for the price. Good wine — and the price is the surprise.
