This is not supermarket vermouth dressed up with a fancy label. This is Jerez in vermouth form.
Vermut La Janda is built from the language of sherry: the depth and walnut-toned structure of Oloroso, the dark raisin sweetness of Pedro Ximénez, and the savory-bitter lift of aromatic herbs and local Andalusian botanicals. The result is rich, polished, and unmistakably southern Spanish—sweet enough to be generous, bitter enough to stay serious.
Drink it chilled over ice with an orange twist, a green olive, or nothing at all. It also makes a beautiful base for a lower-proof Negroni-style drink, a vermouth & soda, or a richer Manhattan variation.
Why We Chose It
Because good vermouth should taste like wine first.
La Janda has the weight, oxidation, and dried-fruit depth we love in sherry, but it stays balanced by bitterness and herbs. It is not sticky. It is not anonymous. It tastes like it comes from somewhere.
This is aperitif culture with a Jerez accent.
Tastes Like
Raisins, walnut, orange peel, dried herbs, wormwood, warm spice, old wood, and a clean bitter finish.
Best With
Aperitif hour, Marcona almonds, olives, potato chips, anchovies, conservas, grilled shrimp, fried seafood, sushi, jamón, hard cheeses, and anything salty enough to make the next sip taste even better.
Serve
Serve well chilled, over ice, with an orange slice or twist. Refrigerate after opening.
