June 2026: What's Up?
Share
Every month, we keep you up to date on what’s happening at Wine Stop—new arrivals, upcoming tastings, and where we’ve been (and where we’re going) in search of wines for you. We’ll share what we’re tasting, what we’re learning, and a few wine tips along the way. After 10 years, it’s time to share more than just bottles.
Summer is almost here, which means it's time to start exploring refreshing whites, rosés, and sparkling wines. One of the newest additions to our shelves is already becoming a customer favorite: the 2024 Enrico Valentine Rosé from Sonoma County. Made from 56% Primitivo, 28% Grenache, and 16% Mourvèdre, it combines ripe red fruit, freshness, and structure in a way that makes it remarkably versatile at the table. Only 270 cases were produced.

Our latest shipment from Portugal has arrived, which means the Contracena Pétillant Naturel Rosé is back in stock.
Crafting a clean, dry, flavorful Pet Nat requires precision and patience. The wine completes its fermentation in the bottle, creating its sparkle naturally. Two years ago, winemaker Mariana made the difficult decision not to release the rosé because it didn't meet her standards for quality and effervescence. That's the kind of commitment we admire.
The current release is everything a Pet Nat should be: fresh, energetic, dry, and beautifully balanced.

You and we have missed our great Txakoli. When it was no longer available, we set out to find a worthy replacement. Unfortunately, many of the wines we tasted simply didn't capture the freshness, energy, and character we loved in our previous Txakoli.
The search is over.
We are excited to announce that a new Txakoli—equally distinctive, refreshing, and delicious—will be arriving on our shelves by mid-June. Crisp, vibrant, and made for sunny afternoons, seafood, and good company, it's everything a great Txakoli should be.
YES! It's back. Well, not the same one—but one we're just as excited to pour into your glass.

The 4th edition of our Wine Stop Tote Bag has just arrived in our stores. What began as a practical shopping bag has become an unexpected customer favorite—and even a sought-after Los Angeles souvenir. This limited edition is now available while supplies last.
In May, Alvaro traveled to Armenia to explore one of the world's most fascinating wine cultures. While Georgia can claim 8,000 years of winemaking history, Armenia is home to the oldest known winery ever discovered—a 6,100-year-old site uncovered in a cave in 2007.During his visit, he tasted wines from roughly 40 Armenian producers. Don't be surprised if one of those discoveries eventually finds its way onto Wine Stop's shelves.
A few weeks earlier, Alvaro returned from Chile, where he selected two new wines for Wine Stop: a 100% Carmenère and a rosé. Both are currently in transit and, if all goes according to plan, should arrive before the end of June.
Follow us on Instagram @winestop to stay informed about new arrivals.
We're also making significant progress on our new website. With the overall structure now in place, we're adding more than 35 new wines scheduled to arrive from France later this summer.
The MyWineStop.com homepage will highlight our newest discoveries each month. June's featured arrivals are:
• Contracena Pet Nat White ($32)
• Contracena Pet Nat Rosé ($32)
• Contracena Ânfora Skin-Contact Wine ($38)
Three wines from Portugal. Three very different expressions. All worth discovering.
We'll leave you with a quote from a recent Jumbo Time Wine newsletter:
"And he says out loud what a lot of natural wine people have been thinking for years: that 'natty' became an excuse for flawed wine and someone had to say it."
Amen.
