S-Naia is Sauvignon Blanc with a Spanish accent: bright, aromatic, refreshing, and clean, but with more texture and calm than the usual shouty version of the grape.
Made in La Seca, one of the key villages of D.O. Rueda, this wine shows how well Sauvignon Blanc can work in the same high-altitude, stony landscape better known for Verdejo. The wine is all about freshness and lift: citrus, herbs, floral notes, tomato leaf, and a subtle tropical edge.
It is crisp and lively, but not thin. Aromatic, but not loud. Dry, refreshing, and immediately useful at the table.
Wine Term: Sauvignon Blanc in Rueda
Rueda is best known for Verdejo, but Sauvignon Blanc has also found a strong home here. In La Seca, the vineyards sit around 750–800 meters above sea level, with limestone clay soils layered with sandy clay and pebbles. Those conditions help preserve freshness, aromatics, and a clean mineral feel. S-Naia comes from Sauvignon Blanc vines that the winery says adapted especially well to this soil and climate.
Why Try It?
Because it gives you the refreshing side of Sauvignon Blanc without turning into a caricature. Think citrus, fresh herbs, tomato leaf, floral notes, subtle tropical fruit, and a crisp finish that stays clean and dry.
Why Buy It?
Because S-Naia is an easy yes for anyone who likes bright, aromatic white wines. It is familiar enough for Sauvignon Blanc drinkers, but different enough to feel more interesting. Perfect for weeknights, seafood, takeout, salads, tapas, and that first glass while cooking.
