Collection: Far Yeast Brewing Company @ Wine Stop DTLA
Japanese craft beers with flavor, purpose, and a place at the table.
These are not cheap beers, and they are not trying to be.
Far Yeast Brewing Company makes flavorful 330ml bottles from one of Japan’s most thoughtful craft breweries — beers made to be opened with food, shared, talked about, and remembered.
At Wine Stop DTLA, we are proud to offer Far Yeast Brewing Company because these beers belong in the same conversation as the wines, sakes, ciders, and sparkling bottles we already love. They are not loud for the sake of being loud. They are not strange just to be different. They are carefully brewed, aromatic, balanced, food-friendly beers with their own clear identity.
The KAGUA line brings together Japanese ingredients, Belgian brewing inspiration, and a refined sense of the table. Rouge, Blanc, and Saison are built around flavor, fragrance, texture, and food — the kind of beers that make sense with sushi, yakitori, ramen, grilled meats, fried chicken, tempura, dumplings, and the way Los Angeles actually eats.
The Tokyo Series — Tokyo White, Tokyo Blonde, and Tokyo IPA — speaks more directly to craft beer drinkers, but still carries the Far Yeast signature: dry, aromatic, flavorful, and balanced. These are recognizable beer styles seen through a Japanese lens, with enough character to be memorable and enough drinkability to keep them enjoyable.
Far Yeast also continues to explore what Japanese beer can be through seasonal and limited releases. These beers give the brewery room to work with local ingredients, regional collaborations, and new flavor ideas without turning beer into a gimmick.
Mori to Mori Rice Ale is a perfect example. Brewed with rice and sake brewing yeast, it connects beer, sake, agriculture, and local community. The beer was born from a collaboration with rice farmers in Hokuto City, Yamanashi Prefecture, who practice sustainable rice cultivation to help protect the local environment. The result is refreshing, beer-like, and gently fruity, with ginjo-like aromatics.
When available, Wine Stop DTLA will feature these seasonal Far Yeast releases alongside KAGUA Rouge, KAGUA Blanc, KAGUA Saison, Tokyo White, Tokyo Blonde, and Tokyo IPA.
Yes, these beers cost more than ordinary beer. Exchange rates, shipping, small production, and imported quality all matter. But the point is simple: these bottles still deliver. You do not open one and feel like you got talked into an overpriced beer. You open one and understand why it has a place here.
Most of these beers are hard to find in Los Angeles retail shops. Many bottles go directly to Japanese restaurants in Little Tokyo and across L.A. We are happy to put them on our shelves at Wine Stop DTLA — not as a novelty, but because they are genuinely worth drinking.
Open with food. Share with friends. Talk about what you taste. That is the point.
